Microtuning support in AN1x?

Microtuning support in AN1x?

2006-10-06 by zzbbzzdd

Hello members!

Anybody tried to dump alternate tuning to the synth? Tried to dump some
scales by scala-program (http://www.xs4all.nl/~huygensf/scala/) but
with no success.
I'm not sure if I'm sending in the correct format (have tried MIDI
Tuning Standard 2-byte octave tuning dump etc.)
Does anybody know if it is even possile to use alternate tunings in
this instrument and if yes - then what is the correct format for
sending the bulk?

All the best
Johnny

I know the DX7 mk2 can do this.

I'm not aware of the AN1X being capable.

The AN1x does not support Microtuning tables directly.

It's been awhile since this topic has been discussed, but a couple
of users recommened the program MIDI Relay if you wanted to explore
alternate tunigs with a synth that does not directly support
Microtuning table via the MIDI Spec. The current web page is here:

http://www.microtonal.co.uk/software.htm

and he links to a web page dedicated to the subject.

Hope this helps. You might want to search the list archives
for 'microtuning' if this thread does not continue on it's own...

Regards,

Jon
