Buying AN1x in Norway

Buying AN1x in Norway

2006-04-11 by magneticnor

Hello.
If anyone sells or knows someone who sells this fabulous keyboard in or around Oslo,
Norway, I am here to buy it. If it has not travelled as much as mine, and if it still is stable
and in good conditions.
By the way, I have the old popping problem from the first series: loud cracks and pops
when turned on, that subsides and disappears after 2-3 minutes. I read somwhere that
Yamaha has a repair program, is this correct?Probably way too late, anyway :-)

You can find the last software revision (an EPROM) , ask the Yamaha
customer support . But i don't know (and i don't think) that your
turn-on noises are software related . It's not too late for a repair , a
guy in Czchek Republic has bought one on E-Bay 2 weeks ago and had it
repaired (missing notes) ; why not in Norway ?

Hello and thanks!
I read somwhere that for this popping problem Yamaha does a special repair that only
their pro techs are qualified to do, and this means sending the keyboard out of Norway,
which in the end seems like a lot of trouble for something I can live with anyway.I will try
and update the software, though.Maybe that helps.
My synth has travelled a lot, which is why I am looking for another: there are cracks and
holes in the casing knobs missing, lots of bad connections inside, faults come and go, etc.
Too bad, after many years I really start to find my way inside it.So I hope I find one.
Thanks again.
