Knobs are so 70s. When are we going to get something cool? The Kaos pad comes close. Perhaps a pyramidal Kaos pad that floats above the keyboard. Jimmy

An open sided quark-a-hedron translucent thing that you play from the inside; bumping, rubbing, plucking, strumming and whacking on the surfaces that light up in unique colors as played. About as big as a bowling ball, and again like Jimmy says - suspended above the keyboard. BTW - when I saw Rush in 04 their visual effects guy was controlling the display with a Kaos pad. spaceanimals wrote:

Not quite a pyramidal Kaos pad, but at least something spatial ;) (Btw, isn't an open sided quark-a-hedron translucent thing with fluerescent unique colors rather........ 70's/80's as well? Can you perhaps take this kind of conversation to your personal email? The subject matter seems more personal and less about music, the AN1x, or it's applications. This is your 2nd post to the group, ever. In your first post (in February), you asked for some info on AN Expert Editor. Two people responded to you and you NEVER bothered to thank them or even reply back. That's bad form in a group because your response may have helped someone else solve a problem. Anyway, give people enough room to enjoy themselves now and then, huh? Burnsie wrote:

Sounds good. Sorry folks for any offense. Thank you all for help and information. Clearly a group like ours is an important educational resource. Never want to sell this short. Hello Friends. Could I ask you about the DC adapter for Yamaha AN1x? I need to buy some one, but I am not quite shure about all parameters for this one. What's about input? Is 500 mA enough? Thank you very much... Ondrash --------------------------------- Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less. Hi ! you need a 12 V DC - 700 mA supply with the "+" on the center pin of the connector . You can find it easily in any computer , TV or DIY electronics shop . For the current if you find more (1 amp for example) it's not a problem , less than 700 mA could lead to bad operation of your synth , specially with everything possible plugged in (headphones , pedals , line out ...) . But you can try , it is harmless : on the worst case it cannot start because of the lack of current , like any car when the battery is out . @+ J.F. Hello ! this kind of PSU is very common for a lot of electronic devices (printers , portable computers, CD players, battery chargers ...) . First take a look at home ! But be careful with 2 things : *12 V and DC* , some adapters are only transformers with (of course) an AC outlet !
