Thanks for the reply - I haven't found the right sound yet, but am trying to fiddle with the downloaded sounds from the UK site - This serves two purposes, it helps me find the right sound, while it helps me get better with the editor and the general programming of the synth. MY band (rock/blues cover band) loves the fuller sound the An produces as opposed to some of the other sampled rack units I had been using. We don't use a lot of synth in our material, but some newer stuff is allowing me a few lead lines and mice pads. To the group in general..... What are some of your favorite live performance sounds - realizing we all ahve different genres, etc. Any special setups for the assignable control knobs, e.g., filter sweeps, etc for live performance. Thanks again and sorry for any dumb questions...! -- - In AN1x-list@egroups.com, jondl <jondl@j...> wrote: > > > > Stephen Richardson wrote: > > > > AN1x group, > > > > I am a new AN1x user and having a blast with both the synth and > > the PC editor I got from the Yamaha UK site - I am an old school > > keyboard player (i.e., PC88, VK7 and even and old Leslie 145) - That > > being said, my playing drastically outperforms my very poor > > programming ability. > > We should all be so lucky :-) > > > > > I am trying to come up to speed asap and doing all the research and > > experimenting in the meantime to become a little more proficient with > > the editor - but ........... in the interim, does anyone have any clue > > how to emulate the synth solo at the end of Steve Miller's "swingtown" > > - our cover band is doing this song and I would love to use the AN on > > this tune. > > > > did you ever find the sound you were looking for?
