That's a typical Saw Tooth bass sound through a low pass filter - probably 12db/octave, maybe 242db/octave. You'll probably want to adjust Key Tracking accordingly to get the staccato effect in the upper registers. The pad sounds seems to be a string ensemble of some sort - I suggest you check out the softsynth Cheeze Machine from Big Tick (available for both Win/Mac.) The counterpart to tge bass line sounds like a clavinet to me - or perhaps a fair impression. Big Tick also has a softsynth Ticky Clav which is pretty decent http://bigtick.pastnotecut.org/index.php?action=PROD&pcode=110&lang=EN > Can this be achieved on the AN1X or Virus and how? Yes. Init a Voice using the Bass preset and reduce the FC Decay and Release settings to taste. Choose a LPF12 and reduce the FC value while adjusting the Res to start. I would raise the pitch of Osc2 to '0 and rasie the VCO2 level to get a decent blend. You'll want to twek the AMp env to suit and maybe apply short delay. This will get you in the neighborhood if nothng else. > Iam trying to avoid sampling as its cheeting. > ppfft ha ha ha... > Are there any soft synths that can do this? Most decent VAs will do this, the actual sound iteself is probably a Moog or Arp and not a Prophet5. You might want to check out the recent offerings from Arturia: http://www.arturia.com/en/ I would not mind having their Moog Modular V but I'm a bit top heavy with soft synths and effects right now and I've recently spotted a sample cd to add to the Want List..maybe later this year.
