The FreeEG makes up for this 'limiation' for the most part as it DOES sync to MIDI Clock. 2) There is subtle, but noticeable stepping in the Filter when swept over a large range using the manual control - it is less noticeable when using a LFO to perform a sweep. The Pro52 (particularly the Pro53) are much better in this regard. You'll find the archictectures remarkably similar between Pro52/53 and AN1x as they are both modelled after the Sequential Circuits Prophe 5. Jon
