I was experimenting yesterday, I just sold my OS 9 capable G4 and now wanted to see if I could talk to the AN1x without using a really old iBook, which still runs OS 9. Anyway, I have an M-Audio USB Midisport 1x1 as MIDI interface. I started up Classic, installed OMS 2.3.8 and subsequently the OS 9 Midisport drivers (basically followed the instructions on the M-Audio website as though I was running OS 9). Finally, I installed an1xedit (first 1.02 and just now 1.1). The short answer is: it works fine (both sending and receiving voices, real-time editing). I couldn't find anything about this option on this site (and the FAQ makes it look as though it is not going to work), so I thought I'd share this with you. It does seem to be that the M-Audio MIDI interfaces are particularly well-behaved, so it may not work with others. I haven't yet tried using the AN1x to control OS X Software in parallel, but this is not essential for me. Cheers, Michiel
