I think that's the entire point Magnus is trying to make...whether he 
uses a sampler or a ROMpler is irrelevant, he is frustrated by the 
expectation that as the 'keyboard player' it falls unto him to 
emulate the Brass Section on one song, then pretend to be a String 
Section on the next, and then be a vibraphone player on the next and 
so forth.

I believe it is his ambition to substitute a virtual analog synth for 
his ROMpler in order to affect a paradigm shift in how he approaches 
PLAYING these parts - kind of a step backwards to take a step 
forwards ;-)
