My opinion is that the JV-1010 and AN1x are completely
different... If you want brass and other acoustic
instruments, the AN1x is not the good gear... Now I
wonder what kind of music you play: for 70' covers,
you need brass, organ, bells, real piano, strings, and
I think the JV-1010 is the good choice. But for music
of the third millenium, the AN1x is better. And the
AN1x is very good when you spend time to program it !
Now there is another solution: the sampler. I play in
a rock band, and all my sounds (real or "synthetic")
are sampled, and when I play live, I have only my
sampler (Yamaha A5000) and a Micro Korg to trigger it
!
