Got to play a little space music with the Space Animals last night-
mostly held a handful of notes and played with the aftertouch, the 
ribbon controller, and the mod wheel. The basic sound was a bell. The 
aftertouch was set to open the bandpass filter for a wah wah. I have 
no idea what I set the modwheel for, sounded a little brighter and 
more sustain when I pushed it up. The ribbon controller had pitch and 
LFO so when you used both you got almost a chorusing effecting.

It's also fun to set the ribbon controller for filter and resonance, 
get a percussive clav sound and just slide your finger down the 
ribbon controller for the bwheeeee type sounds.Because the sound is 
percussive it's quick and doesn't get too out of control.

Also with aftertouch controlling the filter you can bend a note up 
with the wheel, push on the aftertouch and the note gets louder and 
brighter while your bending up-sounds like a Martian pedal steel. 

The studio just got a major update-from a sister's husband's friend-
genuine used Grateful Dead mic cables from Bob Weir's studio.
