Jimmy,
I think I found your answer in a message I archived:

Exactly...if you want to sync a modulation to MIDI clock then use the
FreeEG! It provides lock to MIDI clock when you specify one of the BAR
values for the EG length. Its much more flexible than an LFO for this
purpose.
If you need a fifth EG synced to MIDI clock you can even use the Ctrl values
associated with each note of the Step Sequencer. i.e. draw controller change
values across the pattern!!!!!

Try this out, eh? Sounds like what you may be looking for... you could map
the free EG to the phase shifter somehow maybe?

What does filter tracking actually do?
I've got the AN1x and a phase shifter. The phase shifter has a tap
tempo feature (cool). Is there a DJ device that could synch those
two? Further explanation-The Space Animals play to drum loops.
Simple enough to synch the phase shifter-just tap, more difficult
with the AN1X. I want to tap the phase shifter and have that go
through some box and synch up with the AN1X-echos, free eg
sequencers, etc. This isn't even remotely possible is it?
