And as it turns out, he allegedly stole some of the material on that 
album anyway; at least one of the tracks was created for him by Paul 
Beaver of Beaver and Krause, ostensibly to help him learn to use the 
Moog he'd bought, and he just put it on the album without paying the 
composer or crediting him beyond a quick thank-you for his "help" in 
the liner notes.

Paul Beaver's autobiography, a great read for many reasons, details this event.
