Well, at the risk of dragging this list OT again (but
it IS the moderator
asking, so...) and of making Kevan clap handies and
dance about in celebration
of my hypocrisy (BTW, Kev, what I wrote before had
effectively NO emotional
content, as I measure it... when I get mad, you'll
know it)....

The Chameleon is a 1U rack unit with a whole mess of
DSP inside and 24-bit
I/O, that can be configured to do anything the DSP can
handle, simply by
uploading a new OS into the box via MIDI. The
different OSes for it, called
SoundSkins, include multi-effects processing, a
drumbox/bassbox combo with
sequencer, a vocoder, a polysynth, and more are on the
way. I have one here in
my office and am still getting into it. For more data:
