That's the AN1X ribbon controller. The ribbon controller arbitrarily decides whether to hold the last finger position or revert back to the preset setting based on the parameter being modified, how much it's modified, and the phase of the moon. I have yet to figure out when it will do this or why. Wouldn't it be nice to have a little switch to turn this feature on and off?
