Hey 
  About that Q base thing not transmitting any midi sys.  Turn your device 
setting to 
all.  Should clear that up.  The piano sound your hearing is prob your sound 
card.  Try changing midi channels on the an1 see if the piano changes to 
another general midi sound.    I would say look into the qbase help for that one.  
You can e-mail me direct if it doesn't work.  Sx or an old version?
