Either I misunderstand your description , or you misunderstand the place and function of MIDI Yoke.. you need MIDI Yoke (or any other software virtual MIDI ports liek HUBI ) only if you don't have MultiClient Midi Interface, that is if it doesn't support several applications routing MIDI to the same Output, as you need, in your situation, for being able to route notes from Cubase to AN-1x and to send the patches (that means send sysex data) from AN1x Edit to AN-1x (you somehow described the fact you can't play AN-1x patches in a 'mysty' way so I am wrote the last () thing). So you need to - route your MIDI Yoke's virtual port to SW MIDI Out (connected to AN-1x IN) route AN-1x Edit OUT to MIDI Yoke route Cubase to MIDI Yoke you SHOULD NOT route "input = MIDI Yoke 1" in MME as you say and SHOULD NOT have "SW MIDI OUT" in Outputs in MME. (because then you block SW OUT port from Yoke virtual port using it). If your midi interface on SW is Multiclient-capable, then forget about MID Yoke at all and just route AN-1xEdit to SW MIDI OUT for transferring patches to AN-1x and Cubase MIDI Out to SW MIDI Out for playing them from cubase. That should help. Ray.
