Yes, absolutely.  This has been a complaint of mine about this board also.
Now, I have been soliciting the group for a few years now to see if anyone
owns the service manual.  If so, then there may be a simple fix by putting a
resistor in series with the aftertouch strip.  Problem is, when I've opened
up the unit, flying blind with no schematic, I can't seem to find where the
AT connects into the circuit.  And further, nobody on the list seems to own
a schematic.

You might try asking service techs if they've ever done an AT mod for the
AN1x.  You never now what's out there... after all, it's only a small
percentage of musicians who are on the internet asking intelligent questions
on useful newsgroups.   |;-)
