I don't use them myself but my understanding is that most if not all Windows PCs come with a program called WinZip that will enable you to create ZIP files from your patches. Creating a ZIP is very easy, if my understanding of WinZip is correct; you simply place all the patches you wish to share into a folder, then drag that folder into WinZip. It will be compressed into a ZIP file that contains the same data in a much smaller file size. On the Mac, which is what I use, a similar program is Aladdin's Stuffit Deluxe, which isn't free but which everyone should have a copy of (it's just too useful to do without). Aladdin makes a big deal of their own SIT archival method, but Stuffit Deluxe will also create ZIP files if asked, and ZIPs are a lot more universally usable than SIT files. (I think there's a SIT extractor for Windows, and it's free, but it's not something a PC would commonly have around.) mike -- "You know it's Friday when you find yourself trying to turn on the stereo with your cell phone."
