EQ might help but before turning to EQ look at your sounds. Cut down the sustain, use nice snappy sounds, avoid layering the sounds too much, cut down any distortion, any effects-simplify. Good luck. Getting good results with a massive wall of sound is difficult, but well worth the effort. You are essentially the conductor arranging for an electronic orchestra.
