Wasn't this topic just discussed in another thread this past 
week? Anyway... here is a post from Bruce W., from many 
months ago, that is specific to the scenario you describe. Please

Modern keyboard mechanisms typically contain few parts 
servicable by the average keyboard player. IMO, you should seek 
out an authorized Yamaha service center 
http://www.yamaha.com/service.htm.

I'm uncertain if you're the original owner of your AN1x but if not, 
you probably have little info to determine how well the previous 
owner maintained his equipment. User abuse may or may not 
have exceeded the norm. In regards to the potential cost for a 
repair to the keyboard mechanism, I really have no idea but 
suggest it be viewed as a 'cost of ownership' expense - and 
move on.

I've noticed a *slight* deterioration in the 'touch' of some keys in 
the lower register of my 4 year old AN1x, E2 specifically, but the 
overall feel of the keybaord remains responsive so I'm 
unconcerned at this point. It's probably typical wear and tear.
