Couple of thoughts...

1) You should not need to reset the MIDI TX Ch and RX Ch each
time. You only need to change the TX Ch when using the AN1x
as a controller in a hardware setup where you need to record the
output of the AN1x into a sequencer that does not offer
rechanneling. I've no hands on time with a MPC2K but I'm fairly
certain it will rechannel as would a software sequencer
(CUBASE or LOGIC or SONAR, etc.)

The AN1x is bitimbral, meaning it is capable of playing back
each of the two Scenes in a Voice on a seperate MIDI Channels -
that's why the RX parm is can be set independently per Scene.
(Unfortunately, the TX parm is a common parameter which
would have improved the AN1x usefulness as a controller. Oh
well.) You don't need to reset the RX Ch for each Voice - leave it
set to a specific channel. You only need to se the RX Ch for the
2nd scene when you want to use the AN1x as a bitimbral sound
source.

2) You should leave the Device No, parm set to All or a specific
Device number, such as '1', and never change it. This parameter
is useful ONLY when there is more than one AN1x device in your
MIDI Setup. The Device No parameter would allow your host or
hardware sequencer to distinguish one AN1x from another. For
example, say you had a Kenton Plugstation with multiple
PLG150AN cards installed - you would need to set each card to
its own device number so that each card could be identified
correctly.

3) There will always be a pause in audio output of the AN1x, and
many other synths for that matter, when a program change
command is received. There is a great deal of number crunching
going on with the Analog modeling sound engine - the AN1x
does not have the computational horse power not to interrupt the
sounds during a program change (not many synths do.)

regards,
Jon
