There is no reference to the specific backup battery type in the 
Owner's Manual. I never took note of the battery type anytime I've 
had the AN1x opened up. Maybe somebody else has? If you 
review page 4 in the Owner's Manual 'Replacing The Backup 
Battery' it encourges you to have qualified Yamaha service 
personnel replace the backup battery. That's probably the safest 
bet.
