Hi Jon, >Based on the response to last weekends Electric Piano patch >submissions I think we'll wind up our patch submission >weekends on September 21\ufffd22 with Electric Organs. Perhaps >we can revisit this effort at a future date when people have more >time to spare... Please continue the submissions. I have patches to submit for the brass and synth categories already done. I think part of the problem is the current category. IMHO, I don't believe that an analog synth is a good starting point for electronic piano -- the desired waveforms are too complex. When I first looked at the Yamaha guide and saw the piano category I said, "Yeah, right." I'm not saying that the AN1x can't be used for e-piano in a pinch, but there are better alternatives, and I already use them. As for the next couple of weeks, on a strictly personal example: Since I play a Hammond B-3 clone, and use an Alesis ROMpler for Farfisa and Vox sounds, I don't have much to contribute in making organ out of analog waveforms. But get back into the strengths of an analog synth, and I'll be contributing!
