The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Hi,
    The AN1x can be very picky about the MIDI data stream.  Here is one of
my favorite display messages: "Illegal MIDI Data".  Careful, the MIDI police
will be at your door soon!
    Some past discussions have concluded that there can't be any buffering
of the data to/from the AN1x.  I have a Gadget Labs 8/24 digital audio card
with MIDI that will NOT work with the AN.  No matter what I do.  When I just
got a joystick MIDI converter thingy, the AN1x editor worked perfectly.
Apparently the simpler the setup, the better the chance of gettig the editor
to work.
