The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

I got a chance to play for hours last night at my friend's 50th 
birthday party.  Mostly I used my homegrown lead patches, but as the 
night wore on the guitarist and I got into some feedback space 
noodling that was quite fun, outdoors, full moon, the drummer playing 
this crazy jazz rhythm while we drift off into the spheres.

I've got to get a compressor. I was turning the volume down everytime 
I tweaked a knob, because you never know how a change will affect the 
volume. I played without effects through most of the night, but as 
the night wore on, I kept turning up the echo. The AN1X works well on 
reggae. I also found a little tube distortion from the amp helps the 
tone. Also, even when there's 4 guitarists and 2 bass players, the 
AN1X cuts through the mix.
