James, sorry to hear about all your woes. I do not have your set up but I used to. I had Win 95 with a SB16 using the gameport to send midi to a Yamaha PSR620. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnt. My solution was a money one. I upgraded to Win 98 and bought a midi card for my PC. All the challenges went away. Win 98 is much better for multimedia and a separate midi card solves many challenges. I suggest you upgrade to Win98 (clean install) and buy a winman midiman 2x2 midi interface card. If you email me your address, I will burn you a copy of WIN98 SE, much to the joy of Micro$oft. You should be able to pick up a midiman interface on ebay for about £30. Keep searching on ebay, one will come up. As for people moaning about not editing posts, don`t let it bother you. There will always be people who moan. The world is full of people with nothing better to do than moan. The old adage that you cannot please all of the people all of the time is always true. Sorry I cannot help with your existing hardware, but I know upgrading will definately help. Be well Alan (who doesn`t edit posts) --- In AN1x-list@y..., "James R.
