Try taking an artificial-ie: obviously synthesized tone and using it 
to play horn lines. This works well in reggae and funk. Also 
synthesized sounds work well for bass, maybe not country-western bass 
but certainly rock and roll bass. Also, check out some of the late 
60s early 70s orchestral synthesizer stuff-Wendy Carlos, Dick Hyman, 
Suzanne Ciani...that should give you some ideas on how to use these 
bizarre textures in a somewhat musical manner.

Or you could follow my example and just make loud obnoxious sound 
effects and giggle a lot.
