Man that IS weird?!

The settings you describe, "12 - Ribbon Z" and "13 - Ribbon X' 
are the default MIDI CC assignments as made using Ctrl Device 
and Ctrl No. under UTITLITY/SETUP.

But the settings which affect the Scenes within a Voice are made 
using the Ctrl Matrix under VOICE/SCENE SETUP. You must 
have unintentionally changed the Param or Source value in the 
Ctrl Matix. You should check that out 1st in the Voice you KNOW 
the Ribbon Controller use to work. If that's not it, restore the 
Voice from a back-up - if you don't have a back-up then 1) check 
the Files section - everything should be current - or - 2) post back 
to the list and maybe one of us have a copy.
