I think Jon can verify from the FAQ that the 1.4 fixed nothing but an early
"battery low" warning.  Yamaha has not said what the 1.3 rev was, I don't think
it even existed.

If you want to spend the time and money, replacing the ROM is a very simple job
for even an inexperienced technician, but this list of users has not stated any
problems with the "battery low" warning that I remember.
