Yeah me too- I've got that Ed Rush bass sound- just for fun. The unique thing about the AN is that you can feedback the filter and amp at the same time -just like a Minimoog. This isn't to be confused with resonance, as the final signal can be fedback into the filter.- this produces sub bass which even my Monitor One's can't take- how much bass do you need I ask??- If you then set LFO 1 up for S+H and set the clock rate high- you can create psuedo noise modulation- the Ed Rush sound (Think- The Raven, Metalheadz 1995!!!)- that with the feedback.....! I wouldn't however use the built in distortion- but would pump the whole lot through a boss pedal or similar (virtual digital distortion sucks.) It can handle both pads and basses- exceptionally well infact. IMO it's the best VA poly made (in terms of sound and warmth) The case and programming are a bit plastic- but all made worth it because of its sound (Think- a CS80 and a Minimoog got together and had a baby LOL!). > >Are there any d&b producers in this group who can give >me some advice about the AN1X? They are so cheap on the secondhand market right now. go to: www.sospubs.co.uk The whole of my last LP was done with an AN1x and an E6400 It's not D+B- but I am a fan of early Jungle. I have a friend who is on Warp Records- and he thought I was using a minimoog.- Then he was stunned to find it was infact an AN1x!!! I can't recommend more highly than that can I? Tom
