A better method is to use AN1xEdit: The ribbon and knob functions are down in the lower left-hand corner. Just click on the knob you want to change, and a menu of functions will appear. > > Regards, > > -BW > The Assign Knobs can be programmed to transmit the MIDI CC of your choice by using the Ctrl Device and Ctrl No. parameters under the UTILITIY/SETUP menu. When using the AN1x as a controller in your MIDI set-up the Assign Knobs will transmit these CC assignments to your external hardware/software. For the most predictable results - leave your AN1x set to LOCAL=OFF and allow your sw sequencer to rechannel to your VSTi's and sound modules. Remember, settings made in the Ctrl Matrix under the VOICE/SCENE SETUP menu affect the internal tone generator. Duplicate settings under the Ctrl Matrix and Ctrl Device can produce unfavorable results when using the AN1x layered with other MIDI Instruments because the Assign Knobs transmit to both the internal tone generator AND the MIDI Out port simultaneously. Tip: Using Logic Audio, I've found it easiest to leave the AN1x Assign Knobs default to the factory settings (MIDI CC's 41-48) and I create Audio Objects cabled to custom faders (or transformers if you prefer) in a Logic envrnoment layer for the VSTi's I use most often. This way I don't have to keep reprogramming the Assign Knobs every time I use a different VSTi. I simply select the Audio Object in Logic and I'm off and running...I believe Mixer Maps can be used for a similar purpose in Cubase and I would encourage you to check out the Cubase directory in the Files section for some examples http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/files There are some Cubase guru's on the list (I;m not one of them - haha) who have uploaded some useful stuff :-) regards, Jon
