Mr. Bubble,
    You are not the first person who's experienced this kind of flake-out.
As we say in the computer business, "Save early, save often."
    Here's a humorus message I get a lot on the display: ILLEGAL DATA  Ok,
so what's that supposed to mean?  I run my gear through a midi patch bay,
and I think that sometimes it causes a delay or something that confuses the
AN1x.  I've tried using Midi-Ox, the data stream analyzer program, to detect
any strangeness in the data but it's all the same whether it goes through
the patchbay or not.
