All,

[This is a one-time announcement to the list. Hopefully, none of you will
think of it as Spam. I hate Spam -- either variety.]

In the past, I've worked exclusively as an engineering design consultant,
but lately, I've been trying to widen my scope. Over the years as a
keyboard player, I've found that I've needed certain tools to keep my rigs
going -- I use pretty complicated setups where functions on one keyboard
are used to control others -- and frankly, they seem to be hard to find
from traditional music channels; at least, in the US.

I'm working on a few devices of my own, but in the interim, I decided to
sell some commercially-available items from my website, and add more if the
concept works out. To a great degree, the site is oriented toward the
organ player, so I don't expect these kinds of items to draw much
interest. One area of potential interest to this list, however, is the set
of line-powered MIDI conversion boxes made by MIDI Solutions. Many of you
are familiar with their merger products, but there are actually many other
tools, and some of them are quite useful in a complex MIDI setup. These
devices are great pieces of "MIDI glue," but a little tech-y, so the
average music store stays away. (The dealer that I bought my first box
from no longer sells them.) Another area is the AC adapters: still
external, but better than a wall wart.

If you're interested, check out my site at --

Thanks,

-BW
