took it upon himself to inform me how poorly XP performs with MIDI and 
Audio apps?!? Since I've no first hand experience in this area I'm 
inclined to take Gary's experiences more seriously and this should go 
to show how *silly* this topic can become :-P

I don't doubt that we're all capable of respecting each others 
intelligence to determine the platform which suits our individual 
requirements (and budget!)

I'm VERY excited about MIDI and Audio under Mac OS X. So much so that 
I've started scheming, uh, I meant 'budgeting', yeah that's it -  
'budgeting' ;-) for a new G4 to replace my G3 with its sloooow 66 Mhz 
system bus. Damn, even a 400 Mhz iMac has 100 Mhz system bus!!! :-#

TC Works http://www.tcworks.de/ has announced a freeware audio editor - 
Spark ME - that was to be made available as of today. Very, very cool 
IMO.
