What you need is to understand how subtractive synthesis (and synthesis in general) works. If you know the different "modules" of the synth, the OSC:s, LFO:s Envelopes and so on, it's rather easy to apply that knowledge to any Analogue/VirtualAnalogue synth, regardles of make and model. One very nice source for synthasizer info is the Sound on Sound series Synth Secrets.
