Yes a good box !!!  I'd advise anyone into programming patches to get one !!

Remember it was an older VA, bought out to compete with the JP8000 which it
probably does very well.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad I got it and it makes a great controller.

I've downloaded some patches and yes I am impressed, I even had a go a
designing my own last night but ....


Am I wrong in saying that the AN1X cannot do Sine or Triangle Oscillators ?
Sure there must be a way.

What I found was that the Scenes, Free EG, FX and Arp are great features,
they are what make the synth for me, without them the synth sounds pretty
weak, but hey it's just a different angle on sound creation and with them
you can have some great fun.  The MicroQ is kinda opposite to this, it's FX
are poor, it's arp isn't great and it doesn't have Scenes or FreeEG but it
is outstanding at Phat patches with no need for FX or Scenes.  I'd say the
AN1X's strengths lie in it's ability to make great phrases and sequences (if
you catch my drift).

Anyway I've had great fun messing around with it the past few nights.
