I've seen the insides twice -- once to upgrade the ROM, and the other time 
to put larger feet on the unit, to prevent scratching another keyboard -- 
and there isn't a lot inside: one large main PC board, and a couple of 
"satellite" boards.  The bottom panel, however, is painted metal; perhaps 
the CS1x has an all-plastic case?
