AN1X-edit is a good program but then the AN1X is a less complex synth. Both the user community FS1R editor and the free OEM Sounddiver are quite capable editors. Sounddiver does offer control over individual formants but does not include formant analysis software to create new formant sequences (sequences of formants which can create artificial speech such as the "Ladies and Gentlemen may I have your attention please" FS1R catch phrase). Yamaha has such s/w but for some reason refuses to release it or augment the existing library of fseqs. But this is straying way off topic. It may be interesting to note that there is a dedicated and active FS1R group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fs1r Now back to the AN1X ...
