I think everyone should invest in at least (and probably at most as well) one sampler or sample player. There are some sounds that you can only reproduce by samples. I've been thinking what to add, as soon as I have the money (which is probably somewhere in the late 23rd century). The AN1x was the starter machine, and given the wider availibility of VA synths nowadays, I might have ended up with something different. Nevertheless, I haven't regretted buying the AN1x for a moment, even when they got almost 50% cheaper at the end. Basically, it would be another VA synth, and a sampler or something like a K2600XS. But, like I said, money is the issue, and with a wedding and a honeymoon coming on... - Peter
