If memory serves the person who suggested the 'opto-isolator' cable(?) 
was reasonably confident in the solution. I'm still of the opinion you 
should spend on a dedicated, reputable MIDI Interface.

BTW - Martin, Eric - this thread has really gone off into a couple of 
tangents :-) haha LOL ha ha Has any of this been of help? Did either of 
you get AN1xEdit to receive a transmission from your AN1x?!?
