I too tried out the AN200 at Guitar Center (they had one on display). I was not impressed. Only 5 Voices ??? Pu-Leeease. The sound parameters were as weak as a TB-303. In summary- Take an AN1x, remove half the polyphony, take out 85% of the modulation ability, add nice rubbery knobs and a simple effects section- and make it go "Bum-tisss-Bum-tisss-Bum-tisss-.." in the demo sequence. Hell- Why didn't they just add more flashing lights and an "Beam-control"- the kids would come running... (I hope the DX module is better- Where is it ????) Todd S.
