hello to all. i was just fooling around with my (AN) card and i just discovered some things i didn't know before. i just realized that if you want to get your FEG A,D,S,R times to match your tempo for example, attack 2 notes long, decay of 3 etc. you can use the free eg in gary gregsons plg150an editor. wow!!!!!! i was blown away!! if you use the FEG it only has 4 points (ADSR) and it's not mached to tempo but if you use the free eg you can have an envelope that looks like this for example = ASADSADSASR!!!! and the best thing is that it can be matched to a tempo!!! i just made some really cool sounds using this!. wow!! i haven't been this amazed by something in a long time! i'm gonna use it for everything sync. pitch etc.. it's 3:00am where i'm from and tonight there's a gonna be no sleepin', just a tweakin'!!! i just have one problem, if you use it for pitch it works fine if your eg is long in legenth or the slope is big but if for example, i have the pitch going up a value of 4 in the legenth of one bar (this is one of the worst cases)the notes don's slide smoothly. you start to hear steps like as if you were playing a scale. the lfo won't give you a steeping patern but it's not matched to tempo. this is why a little back i was asking for lfo values in HZ so i can match tempo but now i'd rather use the free eg but in some cases i can't use it because i get a stepping or scale patern. is there any way to get around this? keep in mind i don't want to use the PEG or LFO's because they can't be matched to tempo. p.s thank you gary g. for answering my last post. elektro dan.
