Tips and Tricks added to the Files section...

2001-03-28 by jondl@jdlx-musique.com

...and a 'brief' announcement :-)

I've added a directory to the Files section here at Yahoo! Groups for a
number of Tips & Tricks. The URL for your personal bookmarks is:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/files/Tips%20and%20Tricks/

I've uploaded many of the AN1x tips & tricks previously posted at my
web site JDLX-Musique.com http://www.jdlx-musique.com/ All of those
articles have been edited and revised to bring them current and verify
the information is as accurate as I can provide. Please don't hesitate
to point out any inaccuracies. In addition, the next batch of updates
that had yet to see the light of day have been posted too. These
include Elson's exploratory surgery article ;-) a smattering from the
most recent SB Live thread, and ALL of Gary's accumulated PLG150AN
articles for Cakewalk and Cubase 5. I know some of you had been
interested in seeing these - sorry it took me so long to repost them.
Maybe you've searched the archive and found them already. On a side
note - now that we have Reggie's Cubase files to keep the Cakewalk
files company we'll see about adding a Logic folder too.

And now the 'brief' announcement...I'll be shutting down JDLX-
Musique.com - AN1x page and all - during the month of April (probably
late April.) I'll post an update to that effect next weekend. Don't
worry about making a mad dash to the downloads page - I've uploaded ALL
the contents of that page to the File section here at Yahoo! Groups:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/files

This includes the Voice archive from the old Teklab Mailing list and
some html documenting who made what.

In addition, I've added the majority of AN1x related links (and many
unrelated too) to our Bookmarks section. You'll find those here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/links

And finally, I have a large number of emails from the old Teklab
mailing list that I'd consider turning into an archive but, I know of
no easy method to convert 12+ months of email into manageable bits.
Furthermore, I don't know that's there's anything we haven't covered
since this lists inception. If there's any interest in pursuing this -
and you can suggest an easy method of accomplishing it - let me know.

regards,

Jon

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
