SV: [AN1x-list] Re: Problem with sending MIDI from AN1x edit to unit

2001-03-18 by J Acker

Yes, thanks that helped a lot! I swapped cables and am still experiencing exactly the same problem. I can only send to the AN1x no matter what I do.

I think a while back I also tried to bulk dump from my drum machine (DR-770) and also was able to connect bu never could dump, so either the card itself is bad, or more likely as all of you have mentioned it is just a flaky design.

I can work around it but it really would be nice to be able to bulk dump and have one active voiceset. As I mentioned here...I am only using the PC as a download station. Hauling the AN1x back up to the music room after tweaking, etc.

I guess I need to stop in to a PC store here and try and find the opto-isolater and try again. Thanks. Since I am not sequencing, I don't really want to buy another sound card.

Thanks for the help everyone, it saved me some time, because otherwise I would still be trying to get it to work.

Thanks!
Jim
