Ray, >Juno-60 with midi adapter ? it's a CV unit right ? so you mean >something like Kenton Midi->CV converter ? How does it work ? >I mean - does it control many different params by MIDI or it >only basic note info or what ? No, I don't believe that the Juno-60 was a CV synth. It had a proprietary, pre-MIDI digital interface, with a connector that looked a bit (physically) like a Centronics printer interface; I think Roland called it 'DBB' or something. Some of the other Roland synths of the same era might have used the same method, I'm not sure. Anyway, after MIDI came out, Roland released a DBB-to-MIDI interface, which was a small box with MIDI jacks and a DBB cable on the end of it. I don't know how many parameters were available through MIDI control, and I'll bet that a lot of the control was SysEx-only, but it was available at one time, so there's probably a few of them still around. I've seen '60s for sale with the interface.
