Try to switch the Midi-Out port within the Midi-Port Setup. ( in the Setup-Menu of AN1xedit).
Depending on your Soundcard-Driver you will see two different Midi-Out devices:
one is for the internal device controller the other one for the in/out-plug. I've had the same problem; after changing the Midi-Out-Port everything works fine.
