RE: [AN1x-list] Dump Request on the AN1x

2001-02-20 by Gary Gregson

Hi Bruce,

There is no dump all request command for the AN1x :-(

So you have to use one of the methods you already describe.

FYI when An1xEdit requests all data it does :
- request system
- request each program and sequence by number (using a loop until all data
has been retrieved)

Regards

Gary

Subject: [AN1x-list] Dump Request on the AN1x

All,

I've been trying to program dump requests for all of my equipment in
Cakewalk. Most synths, EFX, etc. seem to have a "dump all" command that
causes the unit to send patch+global or patch+global+seq data. It looks
like the AN1x doesn't support this method, though ...

Does anyone know of a way to get all the data, other than --
    * use the BulkDump button on the front panel of the AN1x;
    * dump each program and sequence by number (and then the Setup data)
    * use Dump Current Program and Dump Current Sequence, and keep
incrementing the patch number?
Regards,

-BW
