The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Hi,

	Sorry to bother the list, but I'm stymied and perhaps someone here can 
help me.  I've got a 360 Systems 8x8 midi patcher w/o manual and I'm trying 
to hook up a few items in my home studio.  Beginning w/ just my an1x and 
computer.  I set the led to reflect their respect inputs (in this case the 
computer is on in/out 2 and the synth on in/out 1) so the display reads:
2 1 - - - - - -  and as far as I can tell they're all set to the same 
channel (1), but I'm not positive (both the an1x and the computer are, but 
the midi mixer?).  No communication.
If I put  my asr-x on output 3 so as:
2 3 2 - - - - - then the midi ligh on the asr-x flashes when I do a send or 
request in an1xedit.  So somethings going on there.  I've tried switching 
the ports of the asr-x and the an1x and I'm in the same boat.

One conclusion could be that the midi cables from the an1x to the unit are 
bad, but they worked just before when they were direct to the computer.

Where am I going wrong?

		any help, on or off-list, is greatly appreciated.
