Looks like a hybrid SU700/RM1x doesn't it? Personally, I'd hope it's based on the A Series sound engine. Hope they fixed their horrible SCSI. FWIW - E-mu is introducing two similar table top boxes based on the Mo'Phatt and Xtreme Lead sound engines - uncertain if the E-mu boxes offer sampling...don't think so...there's nothing at the E-mu site yet but there is at the Emulate Archives web site. Bears a slight resemblance to the ASR-X except with lots of knobs ;-) Jon --- In AN1x-list@egroups.com, "Rick Hills" <biomecha@b...> wrote: > Do any of you have any information on this new Yamaha box? > > Biomech > > > > > http://www.music123.com/item/item.asp? > po=YamRS7000&d=0&uid=9F7085ED514749D00 > > Yamaha's newest integrated sampling sequencer - > Synthesizer/Sequencer/Sampler/Digital mixer - all in one unit. 64- > note synth engine with 1,054 voices, 4MB of expandable sampling > memory, and more! > > The Yamaha RS7000 Remix Studio > > Music Production Station > Integrated sampling sequencer > 16-track 'hands-on' music production station > "Sampler/Sequencer/Synthesizer/Digital Mixer" integrates MIDI and > Audio > 64-note Synthesizer engine with 1,054 killer synth voices and 63 drum > kits > 4 MB of on board Audio Sampling expandable to 64 MB > Assignable Knobs > Real time Groove control > SmartMedia card and SCSI interface for convenient storage/transfer of > sample memory > Akai, Yamaha, .WAV and AIFF compatable
