The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Just to let the group know:

Last night I was sending a sysex dump to another synth but forgot that the
channel to the AN1x was also receiving.  Apparently there was code in that
data stream that the AN did not like, and all of my patches were slammed.
They had in the display left arrows for every other character in the patch
name, and none had any of the settings correct.  I reset to factory
defaults, then re-loaded from the patch editor, so there was recovery (thank
goodness).

I guess many of you may have seen the display go blank on the AN1x when it
receives midi it doesn't like.  Often I've gotten "Illegal Data" as a
message.  It seems like it's real sensitive to midi flow, so just a warning,
be careful.
